Tango Labs proposals ?

Hi Tangoers,

during my introductory Tango labs, I use a linux VM with preinstalled Tango and tools. Trainees learn to write c++ DS (pogo) and GUI (jdraw), to admin the whole system with Jive/astor/…, monitor some events…

To be more real life, I mainly use usb devices available in classroom : scpi scope or signal generators (SerialLine DS), modbus thermometer (Modbus DS), usb or integrated webcam (with opencv), arduino usb/serial analog thermometer…

I have also a raspberrypi to go embedded…

Do you have any other suggestions of easy to order / low price / amazing devices to put in a Tango bus ? (even some simulator concept could be interesting)

thank your for sharing,
regards

We used to play with a USB Gamepad and pygame. Very simple to implement.

Also, I use TinkerKit for Arduino. It's a shield which simplify the connection between Arduino and some I/O like Leds, Potentiometer, motor, touch button …..

If I do not make any mistake, it seems you have essentially input devices.
Perhaps some output devices would complete this configuration to go further.
