broken links in the new website

Hello!

I've been checking the download links and some of them points to the old site structure and now looks broken. I've seen that replacing the initial 'www' by 'plone' then they can be followed.

The ones I've localized are, in Download->bindings:

In Resources->Tools:

In Resources->GUIs:

In Resources->Device Classes:
- Soleil specific TANGO classes (not plone issue, it looks that the remote is not responding)
- Elettra & Alba specific TANGO classes, have this 's/www/plone/g' issue.

Finally, Community->News show a 404 error.

I don't see any other broken link, but it doesn't mean there isn't.

Hi,

It seems that some pages are available only when you are logged in.
This is the case for the Community->News page.
The error is quite misleading here because page 404 is suggesting that the page does not exist.

This page should probably be public, isn't it?

Some other pages should also probably be public, like when you click on "Read More" to get more information on Nexeya Systems on the Community->Institutions page. If you are not logged in, you will get the following error:
"Forbidden access
Error 403

You don't have enough privileges to display an institution « NEXEYA SYSTEMS » "

I guess this information should be public too.

Nice web site! I like it! smile

Hi Sergi,

thanks for checking the site and pointing out these broken links. I have fixed them all. Let me know if you find more.

Cheers

Andy
The PyTango documentation at www.tango-controls.org/static/PyTango is also broken and just leads to a computing page at ESRF. The "www->plone" trick works though.
Hello,
I am trying to understand how TANGO is working.
It seems that your last installation (here)is not up to date. Indeed, in this package we have the Pogo 6.2.5 but we can download the 8.4.5a here.
So, is-it possible to have your last setup?
Thank you
Hello,
all pictures of this page (http://www.tango-controls.org/resources/howto/how-install-tango-windows/) are disable.

hi,
I am trying to find TANGO software to download for Aerotech 3-axis motion controllers:
Specifically the Aerotech Ensemble Epaq stand alone model.

On the Aerothech web site they provide a link to the TANGO web site for this (was as of 28 March, 2012):

http://www.aerotech.com/media/882315/ethernet%20ip%20programming%20and%20rslogix%20500.pdf

http://motioncontrol.aerotech.com/2012/03/28/ensemble-controller-now-compatible-with-the-tango-environment/

TANGO:
http://tango-ds.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tango-ds/Motion/Aerotech/

– but this link appears to be broken ! (not found !).

I am a beginner…
— If anyone can help me start up Tango to use with my Aerptech Ensemble Epaq, I would appreciate the help.

thank you,

This is not really a broken link but there is no need to start a new subject for this point.

In the Resources page (http://www.tango-controls.org/resources/documentation/kernel/), "TANGO Device Server Guidelines" (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tango-cs/files/doc/TangoDesignGuidelines-Revision-6.pdf/download) and "TANGO Java Device Server User Guide" (http://ftp.esrf.fr/pub/cs/tango/tangodesignguidelines-revision-6.pdf) points to two distincts URL which seems to contains the same PDF (same date).

In Resources/Devices Classes, Elettra and ALBA are dead links.
CEA LIONS lab leads to the main page without any link to specific TANGO DS.

When searching for JDraw on the website, a link to http://www.tango-controls.org/community/project-docs/ is given but the link is not accessible :

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /community/project-docs/.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

edit : it seems solved.
