Archiving documentation

Hello!

I was trying to find documentations for various archiving systems in Tango, but there are no information on the new site. Could anyone send me HDB & TDB as well as Mambo documentation?
Hello.

The "ArchivingRoot" (Archiving tool) package contains a "doc" folder with all documents.
These documents may not be up to date, but the basics did not change.
So, they should help you understanding how mambo and bensikin work.

Thank you very much. I think it covers all I need to know.
Thank you for the link, it will be very useful to get a unique path to the softs.
Is there any link to the last version of each soft?
A symbolic link could allow to build automatic process to check and download the last version of a soft. :)

Hi. Concerning archiving, everything is published in a single zip.
So, every time there is a software update, this zip is updated.
I also send an email to the tango mailing list evey time I update this zip file.

Concerning the symbolic link, I will check what I can do about it.

Hi
I am experiencing problem in the installation of HDB & TDB in linux.
I am stuck in the step 8 of installation manual of HDB And TDB which says " Start Archiving Devices".
Whenever I do the above step in linux, following errors are coming:

1. Could not find or load main class HdbArchiver.HdbArchiver
2. Could not find or load main class TdbArchiver.TdbArchiver

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks,
Balkrishna

You're welcome.
Since this problem has obtained a probably better solution in the thread http://www.tango-controls.org/community/forums/topic/54/ I propose to erase last posts which do not give a clue in opposite to the thread http://www.tango-controls.org/community/forums/topic/54/.
For my own, I moved my post in the first one to check if this solution is a good one.

Hi Philippe

Could you please guide me how to create AlarmArchiver, AlarmManager, ALarmDatabaseaccess devices as there is no documentation given for the same for Linux Operating System ?

Thanks
Balkrishna
Sorry, I am not an expert, but it seems to me the procedure is the same with an exception for the name of the executables.
