Databrowser

Hi Katy

Need your help Regarding databrowser.

- Via the DataBrowser application, you should configure the database informations in the script :
defined environnement -DHDB_USER=hdb -DHDB_PASSWORD=hdb and modify CDMADictionaries\mappings\MamboSoleil\cdma_mambosoleil_config.xml and read the DataBrowserUserManual.pdf included in the doc folder.

Modified the databrowser.sh script and CDMADictionaries\mappings\MamboSoleil\cdma_mambosoleil_config.xml. I have attached my databrowser.sh script. Please check and confirm whether its correct.

After modifying the script and running $./databrowser.sh, I am able to view Soleil's Mambo Plugin, which before modifying the script I wasn't able to view.

Now I have stopped the device server and I have to view the archived data which i have archived in HDB. How can I do that? How do i add the view configuration file saved in vc folder of mambo account ?

Thanks and Regards

Hello,

In the last version of DataBrowser you don't need to have a MamboVC, but it's works :
- select the Mambo Plugin in the Tree
- click on Open button. A dialog dedicated to Archiving will appear
- select your MamboFile and click on "Override VC File" checkbox.
- select the time slot of data
- And don't tuch the sampling period (it is not working for now…)
- Then open > It will take a while according to the extraction deep you choose.

For this part, no Archiving device is necessary, all is coded through the CDMA Archiving plugin.

If you have no Mambo VC configuration. The Hdb or Tdb Extractor device must be running
Those device allows the DataBrowser to display a Tree of currently (or not) archived attributes.
- HDB and TDB Tabbed pane will appear in the Archiving Dialog Box
- select the HDB or TDB pane
- select the attributes you want to extract
- The select the time slot of your extraction
- And don't tuch the sampling period (it is not working for now…)
- This system, will generated you a dynamic MamboVCFile that you can also save on your computer (click on save Mambo VC file checkbox)
- Then open > It will take a while according to the extraction deep you choose.

I hope it will help you.

I am not having a option to select a mambo file and "Override VC File" checkbox so i am unable to do the next steps.
Also
1. My device server is not running and archived the data in HDB.
2. I dont want to archive the data, I want to see the already archived data in Databrowser.
So how can I do that ?

Thanks and Regards

Hello,

The Extractor device are not the Archiver device. There are necessary if you want to know the list of the archived attributes in the database (command GetCurrentArchivedAtt). Anyway normally, it is not necessary to have running device for reading a VC file.
To make sure that Archiving dialog will appear correctly, could you run a HdbExtractor or (and) a TdbExtractor device ?

So check if :
- at least one device from class HdbExtractor or TdbExtractor is running.
- the TANGO_HOST property is well defined in DataBrowser script.

You should see the dialog box attached of this post.

Please send me a screenshot of what you see when you clicking on Open (Soleil's Mambo plugin-in selected in the source Tree) ?

Katy

Waouu !! smile !
It's weared… You have the dialog that is associated with the TANGO plugin.. but the Title is the good one.
Could you try those things :
- Click on other Plugin and Open.
- Could you try the DataBrowser on Windows.(normally you should have the same behavior because at SOLEIL we have both environment linux and windows..)
- Your tango database seems to be very empty…because you have only hdbextractor device..

I have check the databrowser code, you don't need to have HdbExtractor or TdbExtractor device for
For the Archiving plugin, you need Tango..Furthermore, you have to check that hdbextractor is running and working also smile . Check the property of the device for that.

Katy

Hi Katy

Other Plugin is working fine. HdbExtractor is running and working. I think i might have done some error in configuring the databrowser script. I have one request:
Could you please share your databrowser.sh file and CDMADictionaries\mappings\MamboSoleil\cdma_mambosoleil_config.xml file here or mail me at b.chitalia@tcs.com so that I can check if I have done some error in configuring the abpve files. I am using Databrowser-1.0.8 version. If new release is there, could you also please share the link here for download.
