Web framework to control systems with Tango

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on control-command systems and use JAVA HMI to communicate with my device servers via Tango Network.

For better performances, I would like to use from now on a web browser to communicate with my DS. (A software like Canone, I don't need internet).

I tried to install Canone, but it seems like I need to modify a lot of code first to use it. I also saw E-GIGA, but couldn't find it.

Do you have a fully functional version of Canone or know some other tool I could use?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Florian,

what do you mean by better performances? I am not sure the browser is faster than java.

You can also take a look at the TangoWebapp which is a browser based version of Jive (with less functionality):

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your answer.

By better performances, I meant that it avoids to install JAVA on laptops.

I will look for Tango Webapp!

Hi Florian,

eGiga2m is here:
https://github.com/luciozambon/eGiga2m

Canone is obsolete and will be replaced in the next few months by PWMA

There is also mTango

and a few more projects like this:
