Tango 6.0
Tango 6.0 is ready for download. Runs with omniORB4.1 and is compliant to the 64 bit architecture.
The first question you might ask is, why Tango 6.0, why a major release?
Because Tango 6.0 runs with omniORB4.1 which is a major release of omniORB. The code produced by the omniORB IDL compiler is not compatible with the code produced by omniORB4.0.x! To avoid any conflicts when installing the new libraries and new device servers with Tango 6.0 we decided to make a major Tango release.
For the delivered application in the Tango package Java 1.5 is needed.
The binary Windows package is installs the tango libraries for Visual C++ 2005 (VC8).
